In a world facing increasingly pressing environmental and social challenges, information and communication technologies (ICTs) are emerging as powerful tools for building a more sustainable future. Recognizing this potential, the Information Technology Company belonging to the BioCubaFarma Business Group is launching the 5th edition of the Meeting on Management Systems for Information and Communication Technologies, SIGESTIC 2025, which will be held from September 15 to 19, 2025. The event will take place in person at its usual venue in the Varadero Beach in the city of Matanzas.

SIGESTIC is an initiative that seeks to establish and strengthen networks among professionals, entrepreneurs, government representatives, academics and other stakeholders to explore, discuss, and collaborate around the innovative use of ICTs to address current challenges that require technological solutions for sustainability.

With the central theme: "Today's technologies for a sustainable future", it will also provide a networking space for attendees to establish contacts, foster collaborations, and generate synergies that contribute to the joint development of innovative projects and promote collective action to create positive and lasting change.

During the event, conferences, presentations and posters will be presented that will respond to the following topics:

GENERAL TOPICS

• Comprehensive security solutions
• Software development and security in the digital age
• Security in industrial environments and critical infrastructures
• Cybersecurity and data protection in the context of sustainability.
• Validation of computerized systems
• Use of renewable energies in telecommunication systems and infrastructures
• Generative artificial intelligence applied to organizational processes
• Sustainability in organizational management processes (innovation, information, knowledge, energy, environment, among others).
• Artificial intelligence and data science
• Digital governance
• Circular economy through digital solutions
• Digital literacy and awareness of the responsible use of ICTs

As part of the event, a Commercial and Business Fair will be held, which will include a specialized exhibition area open to Cuban economic actors and foreign companies and branches of the information technology, communications, and cybersecurity sectors. It will also include a Business Round and an exhibition space for commercial presentations.

IMPORTANT DATES

• February 10, 2025: Beginning of receipt of contributions.
• April 20, 2025: Deadline for receipt of extended abstracts.
• May 2025: Evaluation of contributions by the Scientific Committee.
• June 2, 2025: Notification of acceptance of submitted contributions.
• September 8, 2025: Disclosure of the scientific program of the event.
• September 15 - 19, 2025: SIGESTIC 2025

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION OF EXTENDED ABSTRACTS

1. It must be original and not be submitted to other events.
2. Be individually authored or co-authored.
3. The limit is five (5) authors per contribution submitted.
4. Each author may submit a maximum of three (3) papers for evaluation, and may only be the main author of one (1) of them.
5. If your paper is accepted and you as the author do not wish it to be published in the proceedings of the event. Please write to the following e-mail: sigestic@eti.biocubafarma.cu

Extended abstracts will be sent through the official website of the event.

Acceptance will be subject to the evaluation of the Scientific Committee. Non-approval does not invalidate you from participating as a Delegate.

The abstracts and the full text of the papers should be submitted in Word format using the templates designed by the Scientific Committee, in letter size pages, 2.5 cm margins, 11 point Arial font, 1.5 line spacing, and 3 point spacing between paragraphs, considering the following structure:

1. Title of the work (in English and Spanish)
2. Summary broken down into sections with the following aspects:

• Introduction
• Methodologies and/or technologies used
• Results
• Conclusions

3. Keywords (in English and Spanish)

The maximum length should be approximately 400 words.
